Our historic convent villa is a place of beauty and tranquillity and ideal to celebrate your civil ceremony in Italy.

This is held in the beautiful cloisters which is peaceful and serene and totally private and exclusive.

The views from the property, lead down over the coast on one side and the lush green scenery on the other with Gradara’s castle standing guard.

The venue can also be taken on an exclusive basis giving you your ceremony and reception in the one location.

Italian law requires that a legal civil ceremony must be held in a property owned by the local Town Hall.

This means that many private villas etc are unable to legally host your civil wedding ceremony in Italy.

Recently, an increasing number of private venues have been nominated as legal civil venues but they still remain a handful of locations.

Dream Academy were pioneers in many locations and as far back as 2006 we had the foresight to involve local authorities in opening up more private, outdoor venues where a civil ceremony can legally be held.

The first of such venues was our stunning historic convent villa in Gradara.

In 2009, we were behind the project in Verona and active in obtaining Juliet’s Balcony as a civil location. ( We were the first wedding planners at this famous location on 1st June 2009).

More recently and in 2012, our flagship property Villa Giona has also opened as a venue for a legal civil ceremony.  www.villagionaweddings.com
